Richard joined ARPS in 2012 after graduating from university. Since then he has attained his RPA and RWA certifications. He is also a certified ISO9001 Internal Auditor.
Richard has visited the majority of the oil and gas sites we advise, in the UK and abroad, to carry out radiation compliance audits, deliver training courses, as part of decommissioning projects and to manage shutdown preparations. He is involved in teaching the various courses held by ARPS and provides radioactive waste management and radiation protection advise to our clients in oil and gas, waste management and other industry sectors.
Richard is involved in the planning, management and execution of various projects in the oil and gas sector, including decommissioning of production and drilling facilities located in the UK, South America and West Africa. His involvement in these projects has included the provision of radiation protection and radioactive waste management advice, provision of radiological / NORM surveys and communications with regulators and stakeholders in various countries. Currently he is leading the ARPS involvement in three large decommissioning projects for facilities located in UK and West Africa, and is the ARPS focal point for a large Global FPSO operator client.
